My ancestors were in the Pasadena and the City of Los Angeles area from 1850 onward. Edward Short came out from PA. Mary Hart and husband Patrick McQuire came from Ireland and worked for the big Estates in Pasadena. Pearl Daphne Wright Leach brought her family down from OR and worked at Altadena Country Club from 1920 until 1950. Margaret McQuire married William Koback and stayed in Pasadena lifelong. Charles Edward Leach raised is family in Pasadena and Alhambra area and was the General Manager of the Swift's Premium Meat Packing Plant in Vernon. John Spangle married Fliss Short and raised their son Russell in the South Gate area from 1920 onward. The Bly family came out from Iowa and Nora Bly married Gideon D. McGilliard from Ireland. They raised a very large family in Los Angeles from 1870 onward. William Charlesl Hunt came from the Isle of Man (UK) and married Harriet A. McGilliard and raised a family in the Pasadena area.
