If a funeral home is still in existence, what could a person expect to find, genealogically speaking, from their records? I am interested in Pierce Bros. 3443 W. Manchester Blvd., Inglewood--in 1945? The same question holds true for cemetery records---Inglewood Cemetery. Thanks for your help. Joni Vella
Joni, I had a lucky strike with a funeral home in Fresno when I asked for the funeral records of my g-grandfather, who had died in 1933. I learned the names of the nine children and the cities where they were living. The other funeral homes have usually left the line for survivors blank. Fortunately, this home filled out the form completly.
