<It has been my experience, if you know the county where the person died, it is a lot faster requesting death records directly from the county not the state.> I have had sucess using Vital Check for death records. They do add a $5 upcharge but the records come very quickly (1-3 weeks) and I don't have to worry about where to send the request or using special forms.
