I visited Calvary Cemetery in May and happened to take a photo of the headstone belonging to Joe D. Lugo (1898 - 1987) and Anna E. Lugo (1896 - 1986), if anyone is researching them. Also the big Wolfskill monument and several of the smaller Wolfskill stones, but not the one which was mentioned yesterday. A large number of Morenos and Garcias. Carmen Feliz, who died in 1918; One or two Sepulvedas with death dates in the early 1900's. I shot nearly three rolls of film while I was there. Also Miguel Garcia (1863 - 1922) and Feliciana Garcia (1866 - 1929). Feliciana's stone was completely buried, but when I began uncovering it, cemetery personnel came over to finish the job for me. Thank goodness - I thought they were coming to arrest me. The staff at Calvary is wonderful, by the way, and the cemetery is beautiful and fascinating. Everywhere you turn, there's a surname you recognize. Once again, none of my people had stones, but I'm beginning to accept that as my genealogical fate. Anyone who wants to check with me to see if I happen to have a photo of a particular stone, give me a name and I'll begin going thru the photos. Who knows, maybe my visit to Calvary will have helped someone.
