Since I began using this method for ordering death certificates from L.A. County Records, I have received each of the last three certified copies I sent for in under three weeks (one request per mailing): I include the following with my order: 1. The form that I have downloaded from the County Records site and have completed 2. A copy of the VitalCheck or Roots.web index listing for the deceased person 3. A certified check 4. A SASE Above the address on the outside of the envelope, I write, "Attn. Vital Records: Death." I hope this method works for any of you who try it! Sue Mullins Susiesearcher@worldnet.att.net
