Have you thought to post this on Ancestry? We have rescued old photographs/letters too and after doing as you did, I sent emails to the people whose family I was able to find links to. Just a thought. Another idea would be to upload the picture on the web (picasa or other service) with information as to how to contact you. Also have you thought to contact the webmaster for the Indiana Genweb? Good luck! I hope you find the right people. Irene CLARK which was taken at the Bretzman Studio in Indianapolis, Indiana. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Irene appearing to be in her early teens at the time. In addition to her name, someone has written "Ike" on the back of the photograph as if this was the person to whom the photograph to gifted. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Irene and her family: V. Irene CLARK was b. 1890 in Indiana to parents Leal CLARK (b. 1857) and Amanda (b. 1861). She was one of three children born to this couple including, V. Irene; John; and Edna CLARK all born between 1890 and 1896. The family was living in Los Angeles, CA by 1910 and in Jul 1913 V. Irene married Moses Willard CHANDLER (1880-1957) in Los Angeles, CA. V. Irene and Moses CHANDLER lived in Glendale, CA and had two children together. I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
