Jay,, Once you order the Informational Death Certificate for $14.00, (it's going up on Jan 1) you will get a lot of questions answered. Once learning that, you can write to or call the smaller library requesting an obituary look up in a smaller newspaper.   The death cert would also have the name of the funeral home.  Sometimes the funeral homes have copies of an obit.  Happy hunting.
