Linda, DCT's are super easy to get in LA County.  They are only $14 and arrive in about 2 weeks.  You can get the form at www.lavote.org.  Make sure to write "Informational Copy Only" which does not require you to get it notarized or anything. Joe, Thank you for this information. I applied for Belva's death record at the state level and waited for 9 months but never received anything. Finally submitted it again and got it a few months later. Going the county route seems much better.
