Linda: The California Death Index (1940-1997) lists the same Paul Young below (social security numbers match), however the birth date listed is 12 July 1912 and the death date 24 June, 1979. Do I need to write for a CA death certificate or are there other records for Los Angeles County that might give the same info. It took several months to get my mother's when I ordered it last year. I should explain that Belva Mae Glass Drane Young was my biological mother. My adoption records were opened in 1979. I am trying to find additional info on her death for medical reasons.
