I've "rescued" an old photograph of F. I. BROWN from the East Greenwich Academy Class of 1894. The photograph was taken at the Horton Bros. Studio in Providence RI. In viewing alumni info for the Class of 1894 I see Fred I. BROWN in that class, so I'm guessing that this is a photograph of Fred. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Fred and his family: Fred Innes BROWN was b. 2 May 1873 in Rhode Island to parents George A. BROWN (b. 1846) and ? NEWELL. Fred and his parents were living in Newton, MA in 1881 and in 1900 Fred was living in Boston, MA. Fred married Marion Gertrude HUNTER (1882-1958) and together they had 5 children including, Paul I.; David Hunter; Richard I.; Robert D.; and Fred I. BROWN Jr., all born between 1905 and 1924. By 1920 the couple was living in Wellesley, MA. Fred died in Los Angeles, CA on 26 Jul 1952. Census records provide the following details: 1930 census of Wellesley, MA: Fred I. BROWN, age 50, married 26 years, born RI, parents born RI, Wire Sales Manager Marion H. BROWN, wife, age 42, married 26 years, born MA, parents born MA Paul I. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
