I've "rescued" an old photograph of R. K. ROSE of Ivoryton, Connecticut which was taken at the Horton Bros Studio in Providence, Rhode Island. I believe that this is a photograph of Reginald K. ROSE who may have been in RI attending the East Greenwich Academy in the 1890's when the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Reginald and his family: Reginald K. ROSE was b. 1 Nov 1875 in Centerbrook, CT to parents Theodore Frelinghuysen ROSE (b. 9 Jan 1850 in Centerbrook, CT-d. 17 Aug 1905 in Essex, CT) and Belle M. CHAPMAN (b. 1849 in Westbrook, CT-d. 18 Aug 1876 Essex, CT). Reginald d. 1937 and is buried in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. Census records provide the following information regarding the family: 1880 census of Essex, CT: Asa H. ROSE, age 71, a House Carpenter, born CT, parents born CT Electa A. ROSE, wife, age 67, Keeping House, born CT, parents born CT Evangeline S. ROSE, dau, age 27, born CT Myron D. ROSE, son, age 26, a House Joiner, born CT Theodore F. ROSE, son, age 29, a Merchant, born CT Reginald K. ROSE, grandson, age 4, born CT Herbert S. ROSE, son, age 40, a Teacher, born IN, parents born IN (but listed as "son" not "son-in-law") Isabella ROSE, dau-in-law, age 36, born CT Maude M. ROSE, granddau, age 8, born IN, parents born IN (is Isabella not her Mother?) 1900 census of Essex, CT: Theodore F.
