I was planning to order through the FHL which is free :) I send them the info they need, and I receive the cert(s) via email. The issue I am having is that according to the county code, she died in the city of LA, code 70, not the county, which is a different code. The cert I am seeking is from 1913 and Joseph's list does not include 1913. The actual certs only go up to 1905. The later years are merely indexes, not the certs. If you want the cert, you will have to order it. There are death certificate images online which include 1913 for Los Angeles, Los Angeles at the FamilySearch Site but you have to sift through image files.
