Hi,   I appreciate that this  isn't a Los Angeles query but I am wondering if anyone has access to the above.  I don't have Worldwide access to Ancestry as I have virtually no research in the USA.  It seems we weren't a particularly adventurous family staying more or less rooted in Lancashire UK.   Clarence Hugh IDDON is listed on the above  list as leaving the UK.;  He was in the Merchant Navy - a Chief Engineer.  He is on the Commonwealth War Graves site as dying on the 21 March 1942 aged  49.  It would appear that the ship he was on at the time - SS Athelviscount - was lost at sea.  I'm wondering if this was the journey he was on when he lost his life.   Thank you,   Jean Spencer Ramsbottom Lancashire
