I just found out that the library cards for LA library are for 3 years (I'm assuming since the last time you checked something out)   Looks like the last time I researched there was more than 3 years ago   http://www.lapl.org/branches/

Yeah - you need to go into your local branch and have them renew it. It only takes a minute or so.
