    3. Thanks for checking these out. I'm still struggling to learn which indices are available for which various states. But knowing that George's was out there, I was able to locate it at http://www.italiangen.org/NYCDeathSearch.asp which is a really cool resource. I knew they had marriages, but didn't know deaths were there as well, thank you. Someone else found Anna's death notice and wrote me off list. Unfortunately, you're right. It is brief, no info about relatives in it, just a funeral announcement. This family is a challenge as their descendants spread out all across the country, and I haven't had great luck with locating those not in California. But I will persist!
