Rhonda: I could find no obituary or death notice for Julia in the online L.A. Times Historical Archive. If she died in Los Angeles County, it is very unlikely that an obituary was published. For a county of nearly 10 million, relatively few obituaries are published. I also searched for an obituary for Laurie, who died in Bell County, Texas, in 1976, in Ancestry.com's historical newspaper archive, but found nothing. I did find a birth announcement for June Laurel Minton in a Benton Harbor, Michigan, newspaper; she was born 5 June 1941. June Minton Schmidt appears still to be alive. She is a minister ("Rev. June L. Schmidt") and is living in Georgia.
