It is very unlikely that you will find obituaries for these people. Even in 1930, Los Angeles had a population of 1.2 million. For a city of that size, most people who died did not have published obituaries. While there were other newspapers besides the L.A. Times published in Los Angeles in the 1920s and 1930s, they are available only on microfilm at the library, and the L.A Public Library does not do obituary searches. If your relatives died in one of the other 80-odd cities in Los Angeles County, it is possible that an obituary might have been published in a community newspaper, but you would need to identify the city or community.
