    1. [CALOSANG] Birth Index look up request on Ancestry
    2. Patti VanWagner
    3. For over twenty years, I have been trying to trace my Aunt Dorothy and her family. I never knew any of them. Just the other day, finally I 'found' Aunt Dorothy - buried in FL and got her obit. I now have a few clues to my first cousins. I knew a bit about them, but never enough to look further. Dorothy Wetherwax (Weatherwax) was married to Mr. (first name not known) Fisher (Fischer) and had twin boys in 1935 (or very late in 1934). I think I have found them on the cbi, but don't have access to Ancestry to look at the records. Can someone please help me??? Here is what I am wanting to see: David Roy Fisher date gender Wetherwax Los Angeles Donald Ray Fisher date gender Wetherwax Los Angeles What I put in as search query was Donald (and David) Fisher – mothers maiden name – Weatherwax (but Wetherwax is a common spelling of the family name also) and 1935 birth year (plus or minus 2) PLEASE could someone check it and tell me the birth dates and fathers name if available. I would be very grateful for the help!!! Patti _________________________________________________________________ Get ideas on sharing photos from people like you. 3. Go to www.sfgenealogy.com then vital indexes, then 1905-1995 California birth index - use the free one from sfgenealogy. The twins show up as Fisher with mother's maiden name Wetherwax; Los Angeles Co., born 01-01-1935. Father's first name is not given. 3. Hi Patti~ The father's name is not going to be found in the California Birth Index. To get that, you would need to see the actual birth certificates. I'm not sure if they allow viewing them anymore or not at the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office, but if they do, you might try www.raogk.org to see if someone could go down and check them out for you. Take care, and good luck! 3. Hi Patti: I found a short article in the Los Angeles Times archives that may be your aunt. On January 1, 1935 sixteen babies were born. A girl was born at the stroke of midnight, and later that morning twins were born to a Mrs. Fisher. That's about all it says, but it gives a partial address as well. I'll send a copy of it to you in a separate email message.
