It has been a while since I order records, but if the state is still at its former status - NEVER order from the state. When they seriously state it will take OVER a year to fulfill the order that is beyond belief - most third world countries can do better. Why can't we have political candidates that promise & deliver a better job providing vital records?? Forced to order from Sacramento, my request went out the other day. I fully expect to get results after one year is up. Adoption birth recs can only be retrieved from the state and that is for the post adoption record not the original birth parent birth rec. If I have not turned old, grey & dead, I will report the time it took to receive it. Sue A
