Hi folks. Congratulations on a good outcome in your recent general election. I am hoping for a similar successful result in our elections to be held this Saturday. Arthur Stone, the first husband of my Great Grandmother, Minnie Dennison (nee Rigby), died in Los Angeles on June 7th 1887. I knew he had died there as my Mother told me but I didn't know specific dates or details. My sister has just found his date of death from FamilyTreeGuide.com. Family stories say that he died either from scarlet fever or as the result of a pub brawl. He was 25 and his parents had moved to Auckland, New Zealand in the very early 1840s where Arthur was born on August 11th 1862. It is also unknown what he was doing in California but I believe his father, Captain James Stone, had shipping connections. I wonder if anyone with access to Los Angeles records has any means of finding out the truth behind his death and if any of the family stories are correct? Any and all help would be much appreciated.
