Could you clarify this a bit - I am confused. Generally CAPS in genealogy are for surnames so I am not certain if you are referring to a given or surname. There is a funeral service announcement only for Alvina NOYES, 23 Feb 1932, LA TIMES. It only mentions that services will be "from the chapel of Graham & Isbell", with no cemetery or relatives mentioned. This is the site for some LA area directories that may or may not be of assistance: http://rescarta.lapl.org:8080/ResCarta-Web/jsp/RcWebSimpleSearch.jsp ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shirley Sullivan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2008 8:51 AM Subject: [CALOSANG] PERCY/PIRCA/PERCIE NOYES PIRCA/PERCY/PERCIE Pierce NOYES born about 1859/59 in Iowa, last know residents, found her on the 1930 census in Los Angeles, California, living with married daughter Margaret Noyes Carter & her husband George Carter. Can't find her any place else, Can some one help me? Need a death date, and where she was buried. The California death index doesn't go back that far. Can someone help me, she must have died some time after 1930, I believe in Los Angeles. She spelled her name different on other census, so not sure how they spelled it when she died, this is my great grandmother. I would appreciate any help. Shirley Noyes- Sullivan
Well, maybe this will help. This looks like Percy in the 1860 IA census with her family; apparently the last name is PIERCE, or PEARCE in some censuses.
