    3. Nancy, Thank you for checking for me. I have the 1920 Denver census, and do believe that is my Harry with his parents. I have the 1900 census where Harry Sr. appears to be a boarder in Utah. I THINK that is my person's dad , since family info has him marrying a gal from Utah. I wonder why there is no obit in L. A. since he is listed in the Calif. death index. I really need an obit to fill in the missing information. Any suggestions out there for obit of Harry H. McCorkle, died 22 Sept. 1968 Los Angeles Martha

    3. I have had very good luck requesting information from Los Angeles County by mail. The Los Angeles County web site used to have the form to request a death Certificate and a fee schedule. 3. Hi. Obits from Los Angeles County are somewhat hard to get; in that LA Co is so large, and not everyone had an obit, usually only the rich, famous, and such. If you can find out what town/city he last lived in you might be able to search the local paper, or church notices. If you can get a Death certificate, it should tell the Mortuary, and Cemetery, and you could try contacting them to see if there was an obit or death notice, they may be able to tell you where to look for it.
