Hi Karla~ I looked at the newspaper article, and it definitely looks like it says Mrs. Nell Gabriel, which is really weird since the spouse's initials for John are listed as F S. Spouse's initials: J D Age: 18y County: 15 (Kern) DOD: 12 Apr 1930 State File #: 19016 Maybe the newspapers were misinformed!
