Hi Marsha, I'm pleased to hear from you and I wish I could offer you some new information.   Actually, Herbert Heyes is not my relative.  I'm working on a DAR application for his grand-daughter.  Her grandparents divorced in the early days and she never met her grandfather.   She only saw him in the movies.  I've googled Herbert and found that he acted with several well-known stars.  It's a shame his granddaughter didn't know him.  She told me she has a scrapbook which her uncle put together for her which documents part of his life.  Her grandmother was also an actress...Mildred von Hollen. If you have ever tried to join a Patriotic society, you know that every fact needs to be documented and the granddaughter has many handwritten items giving vital records.  She even at one time saw his actual death certificate and she hand-copied the information but didn't get an actual copy of the document.  Now she has to backtrack and get "official" papers.
