There is a Fred J. George residing at 532 W. 79th and Fred George residing at 1843 Wollam in 1939 according to the Los Angeles Extended Area Phone Book, June 1939. To find out where he is buried, you would need a copy of his death certificate. Fred does not appear in the 1935 SD State Census, so it looks like he left SD sometime between 1930 and 1935. FWIW, Wesley George had a homestead of 160 acres and a Timber Culture Claim of 160 acres in Clark County, SD. You can order the homestead and timber claim files from NARA.
