That's not what I said. In addition to Find A Grave, there are other sources, such as: http://www.usgwtombstones.org/california/californ.html http://www.scgsgenealogy.com/LA-Co-Burial.htm http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cabf1905/ There are also newspapers online, some free and some by subscription. By locating an obituary, you would be able to locate the name of the cemetery. There's no one place to find information such as this. The DAR did listings in the 1930s and 1950s but these were only transcribed tombstones that were extant at the time and not of all the potential cemeteries in any given area. It was a volunteer effort. Most of these, I believe are available at the California State Library in Sacramento. You can also find licensed, regulated cemeteries at: http://www.cfb.ca.gov/consumer/lookup.shtml and you could call all the cemeteries in Los Angeles and see if they have your person. ----- Original Message ----- From: Aaron Hill To: calosang@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, December 05, 2011 5:19 PM Subject: Re: [CALOSANG] Cemetery lists for Los Angeles cems.? So what you are stipulating is that no one, at no time, has ever compiled and published a list of names and dates for ANY cemeteries in Los Angeles? Seems a bit presumptuous to me. -- Aaron > From: Joe Walker <joe_walker_2000@yahoo.com> > > Aaron, > I have been doing family research for 30 plus years in Los > Angeles County, and I am just as sure that the info is not > there. Sue, Please note that I referenced Joe Walker's previous message. I was responding to him. -- Aaron > From: Sue Silver <ssilver1951@sbcglobal.net> > > That's not what I said. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Aaron Hill > To: calosang@rootsweb.com > > Sent: Monday, December 05, 2011 5:19 PM > Subject: Re: [CALOSANG] Cemetery lists for Los > Angeles cems.? > > > So what you are stipulating is that no one, at no > time, has ever compiled and published a list of names and > dates for ANY cemeteries in Los Angeles?
