Hi. I searched the CA marriage records of Los Angeles Co. for 1919-1927, and found one marriage for a Ruth DUTTON. I also found births for BROOKFIELD/DUTTON. And I thought I was onto something until I found this 1930 CA census info which says this Ruth was born c1902 in OH; and so is probably not the right Ruth DUTTON; Search Results: June 1923 through May 1924 Los Angeles Co. Dear Nanc: When Fin" first came to America, they lived in Kewanee, Illinois, three of his four children were born there. In the 1930 census, I can not find his son John Bruce McKay either. It was the depression people were moving looking for a job. Maybe there is a Illinis Connection in California. Yea, I think he was listed as tinslay McKay, the census taker did not write very well.When we lok at old records on line, some are so faint, you can not read them. Yes that's Finlays family on the bottom. As a side note. Herbert Hoover of Stanford University, later President of the United States. I don't know anything about a wife or children. Mildred married a Mr. Russell and she was living in the Toronto area, last I heard. I don't know anything about Elmer and Melvin. Is this him in 1900?? This man was born May of 1880. Mountain View Cemetery on Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena has a vault on the cemetery grounds, and there is also a mausoleum that I think they own on Raymond Ave. in Pasadena.?
