Don... If such a list existed, it would be awesome. But you are talking about millions of names, and no such database exists. Find A Grave only lists what people input. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Orlo WILCOX which was taken at the J. W. Bates Studio in Payette, Idaho. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Orlo likely in his teens or 20's at the time it was taken. I also believe that this is the same Orlo WILCOX who appeared in earlier photographs I posted (July 2011) which were taken at studios in Oregon State. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Orlo and his family: Orlo K. WILCOX was b. 16 Jun 1881 in Corning, KS to parents Oliver Kent WILCOX (b. 6 Aug 1847 in MI) and Sarah Jane PURVIS (b. 13 Jan 1840 in Sullivan, IL). The couple had 4 children including, Francis Everett; Arthur Lemon; Oliver Wesley; and Orlo Kent WILCOX, all born in Wyandotte, Reno, or Nemaha Counties in KS between 1875 and 1881. Orlo married Bertha Emily WILSON (b. 22 Oct 1886 in Washington, KS) on 16 Jun 1909 in Linn Co. OR and together they had 7 children including, Helen Lucille; Donald W.; Mary Faye; and four others born in Oregon and Idaho. In 1910 the couple was in Fruitland, ID and Orlo died 16 Jun 1970 in Granada Hills, CA. I am hoping to be able to return the photograph to a member of this family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Thanks Joe, especially about the cemetery. It took them over 2 weeks to bury him so I think it was probably organised by the nursing home - he was the last of his siblings to die and he outlived his nephews and nieces too. Hi Lyn, Thanks for keeping us updated! The Green Acres Lodge where he passed is indeed still there. I have been there, as it is somewhat famous as the death place of Jerome "Curley" Howard from the Three Stooges. I highly doubt that they have records, but you could always try. Queen of Heaven is NOT a Catholic Cemetery. It is multi-denomonational. The second was aged 50 and resided in Laverne. They arrived today and, as I suspected would happen, they sent me two copies of the same certificate even though I did two orders and emailed them to try and make them understand. :( At least they did send me the one I really wanted. It is for my William Trimble SHAW. He died aged 93 from cerebral vascular accident that had happened 7 days before and had suffered from Cerebral arteriosclerosis. He had never married so it seems that the other death is mere co-incidence. He was a resident at Green Acres Lodge in South San Gabriel. I see it is still running so I thought I might write to them and see if they have any archives. I have his social security number now and I may send for the file just to find out where he worked etc. His occupation on the death certificate was janitor. Looking in the 1930 census he only one I could find that fitted was one in gaol in Indiana - it was the depression so I wonder how serious his offence was. I was rather surprised his was a janitor given his background but perhaps after a stint in gaol that was all the work he could get - it sounds like his might be a rather sad story but even so I'd like to be able to tell it. His death certificate says he had been in California 28 years. He was buried at Queen of Heaven Cemetery which appears to be a Catholic Cemetery - the Shaw family were Protestants so that seem unusual. I would appreciate any thoughts from the list on what avenues I might follow now. I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the BRAUER Family of Illinois. The first is identified as Helen BRAUER and was taken at the Clark Studio in Streator, IL. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Helen in her teens at the time. The second photograph is of Louise Karoline BRAUER of Aurora, IL, taken in June 1917 when Louise was 5 years old. The second photograph includes the inscription "taken in their front yard" on the bottom of the photograph with no studio name identified. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following census information regarding this family: 1910 census of Streator, IL: Emil BROWER, age 31, married 4 years, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1902, a Glassblower Helena BROWER, wife, age 22, married 4 years, 1 child/1 living, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1899 Edward BROWER, son, age 2, born IL 1920 census of Santa Monica, CA: Emil H. BRAUER, age 36, to USA 1904, born Germany, parents born Germany, a Car Repairman Helen BRAUER, wife, age 32, to USA 1899, born Austria, parents born Austria/Germany Edward BRAUER, son, age 12, born IL Louise BRAUER, dau, age 7, born IL When son Edward BRAUER died in Riverside Co. CA in 1967 at the age of 60 years his Mother's Maiden name was listed as INERT. I am hoping to locate someone from this BRAUER Family so that these beautiful old photographs can be returned to their rightful place with family.
