Your living family members come first. Its wonderful that she has reached 95 years old. A blessing. My father-in-law is also 95 and needs a lot more attention. People will wait. We all wish you well with her. Ann
Amy Florence Ripley married an Evans. She was born in 1855 in OH, and later went to Los Angeles to live. I found her in the 1930 census at 904 Nowita, Los Angeles, CA. It says she was a widow. She had a daughter, Cora Florence Evans, born 1878 in OH and died 1958 in Los Angeles. Cora supposedly married an Atkins and was in Long Beach in 1954. Amy also had a son John Herbert Evans, born 1885 in OH, and died 1952 in Los Angeles. I think he played in an orchestra. I am looking for the name of Cora's husband and any children and relatives. Also wanting to know if Herbert married and had any children. I am the granddaughter of Herbert and Cora's brother, Arthur William Henson, born 2/17/1875 in Lexington, KY, died in 1954 in St. Louis, MO. Any info on Arthur's father, Thomas Henson, is also needed. Sorry so long, but didn't want to miss a lead for lack of info. Thanks, Lynn
I came in today and my 95 year old is not doing well. It will take two of us daily to take care of her. We don't know how much longer, but we want to be here for her. I wanted everyone to know, because the list is long and there is going to be a delay on the DCT's. I can still research via the internet. Deborah
Estelle, I'm not sure if I answered about Arthur or not. I am not at this time trying to get info on his side, since he and Florence had no children, there iaren't any blood ties. I have the basic info about him, (name, b'date, mother's name, death date) I don't know when they got married, or if in New Jersey or California. I was trying to establish relationship with Hollenbeck-perhaps if she may have been reom the Felts side of family. Thanks for the offer, but you are in Florida and it must be difficult to do New Jersey searching. By the way, here is the Los Angeles list I mentioned earlier. CALOSANG-L@rootsweb.com check it out and see if it helps. If not, I will try to make a run to the records office for your death transcript. One more thing, I believe your BAEBI lived in Long Beach. There was no other BAEBI on the CA death list, or the SSDI. Nor did I find any current listings for that name. Must not be many of that line either. Bonnie
in hopes of unlocking a few mysteries about my great grandfather. would appreciate it much, sincerly david
Ira and Olga Escobar after 1941 Jennie lived with Ira for one year. Ira,Jr was born on July, 1930... I can't help you with the 1930 census, but I can tell you I bought my first car, a 1965 Ford Mustang, at Ira Escobar Ford dealership on Sepulveda Blvd. in El Segundo. Nancy
Sorry, but birth records in Los Angeles County are considered confidential from 1905-1963. You can look at your own and maybe your parents, but that is it. Anyone can pay a search fee equal to an actual purchase price to view it in Norwalk, but you migh as well buy it. Did hear that to purchase the same record from Sacramento would cost less, but take longer. Hi all from San Pedro Lady. I need help. My computer cannot look up images for 1930 because it is very slow motion. LDS of Santa Monica has not all 1930 census yet. I can wait if anyone cannot help me. That is ok. I am very curious about my great grandmother's residence and background for 1930. I have all addresses which she might lived with the family during that time in 1930. She died in Whittier and buried in San Luis Obispo. She used to live in El Segundo and visited often in Long Beach or Lomita or Orange County. I don't know which address she lived with. My mom told me that she lived with my grandfather Ira for one year in El Segundo. After that, she lived with Howell Family shorty before death in El Segundo. Actually, she was ill in hospital in Whittier. If anyone cannot help me, that is ok. I understand that 1930 census is new. I have everything ready for EDs list for Norwalk and Los Angeles. I have no idea if anyone can help me to look up for Jennie Escobar. She is the last line in my family to fill in. Ira is my grandfather. Henry, Antonio, Louis, and Katie are siblings of my grandfather Ira. The addresses are provided below. Monta and Katie Howell Jennie lived shortly with Katie before she died in 1933. 321 Virginia St. El Segundo, CA Henry and Jacques Escobar 904 Main St. El Segundo, CA Ira and Olga Escobar after 1941 Jennie lived with Ira for one year. Ira,Jr was born on July, 1930. 1210 E Sycamore El Segundo, CA Or (early 1935) 321 Loma Vista El Segundo, CA Or Maple St. El Segundo,CA Or 303 West Oak Ave El Segundo Early 1941 Antonio and Eva Escobar 672 Santiago Ave. Long Beach, CA Louis Albert and Vera Escobar 14623 Devlin Ave Norwalk,CA Hope it helps to anyone.
