I used NARA homepage in the beginning. Also, I used address index through NARA homepage before but now I could not find anything for address index. Did it change homepage? What happened? The Firestone plant was in South Gate, on Firestone Blvd, between Sante Fe St. and Alameda. I was raised in South Gate, and when I returned from Korea worked at a place kitty corner from the plant. I have some pictures of it in one of my photo albums, and this weekend will see if I can find one. His father's Bible states that he died on October 21, 1917, at San Gabriel, CA. He was reported in a newspaper article of 1913 to work for a telephone company in CA. I believe he moved to CA around 1910. Can anyone check old city/county directories for his name and address from 1909 through1918. He did have a brother Charles Strayer and a sister Sarah J.
