Hello I’m searching for a Drummond family who left Chicago in the 1960s and resettled in Los Angeles. John (Jack) W Drummond (born 1927 Chicago) married Jeanne C Donovan in January 1949 in Chicago. They had about 4 children including Jimmy who drowned in Lake Michigan as a young man sometime before they moved to Los Angeles. There was also a daughter Donna. John had moved to Palm Beach, Florida by 1987, where he died in 2003. I have checked both familysearch.org and ancestry.com.au records as well as joining the Chicago list but as this information is too recent I am hoping a reader may be able to help me find information or some living relatives. Any assistance really appreciated. kind regards Elizabeth from Australia
I've "rescued" an old photograph of W. H. CADMAN which was taken at the Horton Bros. Studio in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition to the name, someone has written "Class of 1894 E.G.A." on the back of the photograph. I believe that this reference is to the East Greenwich Academy where I was able to locate alumni records indicating that William H. CADMAN attended and was part of that graduating class. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding William and his family: William Henry CADMAN was b. 2 Jan 1873 in South Manchester, CT to parents Thomas Samuel CADMAN (b 28 Jan 1844 in London, Eng-1904) and Esther H. William was one of four children born to this couple including, Mary Ramsder; William Henry; Charles Samuel; and George Brown CADMAN, all born between 1870 and 1877. William married Alice Blanche FULLER (b. 22 Feb 1874 in Bosrahville, CT) on 24 Jun 1896 in East Greenwich, RI. The couple had one child. William's occupation was noted as Letter Carrier in military draft records in 1917 noting that he had previously been a Silk Printer and Manufacturer. He was living in New London, CT at that time. William died in 1962 and is buried in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, CA. Jul 1928 in Sierra Madre, CA). A second daughter, Minnie Lorena WEBER was b. 7 Jan 1876 in Ohio to this same couple. Stella married David Frank ROBINSON (b. 25 Sept 1861 in Independence, VA) on 17 Nov 1908 in Los Angeles, CA and together they had one daughter, Marie Louise ROBINSON b. 23 Aug 1909 in Los Angeles, CA. Stella d. 6 Sept 1916 in Sierra Madre, CA and is buried in the Sierra Madre Pioneer Cemetery in Sierra Madre, California. Minnie married George ANDERSON and died 14 Jan 1942 in Kern Co. California. Jay,, Once you order the Informational Death Certificate for $14.00, (it's going up on Jan 1) you will get a lot of questions answered. Don't fixate on the "70" or "19" designation-its not relevant for getting for DCT as they are all in the same office. I was just there on Tuesday looking stuff up.
