    2. Try Bonnie Brae St. I had an Aunt who lived on a street by that name in 1950. Maybe it was a typo. 1. [CALOSANG] Stradley info
    2. Diane Ethridge
    3. Hello List: I’m looking for death info on a Mae/May Stradley who was in the 1940 census, living in Long Beach. ANY info will be welcome though. I believe Mae had moved there with a “child” after her husband died in San Antonio, TX in 1935. Could have the wrong lady though so that’s why I'm in need of this info. I see a Cecil Stradley close to her in Long Beach but don’t know if they are related. This list has come to my “rescue” before & I thank you so very much for your help. Diane Ethridge Conroe, TX

    1. [CALOSANG] IRISH Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Cullen IRISH which was taken at the Snook Studio in Akron, Ohio. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Cullen appearing to be about 4 years old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Cullen and his family as follows: Dr. Cullen Ward IRISH was b. 16 Sept 1889 in Norton or Barberton, OH to parents George Warren IRISH (b. 9 Jul 1862) and Addie VINCENT (b. 1 Jan 1865). Cullen was one of 4 children born to this couple including, Cullen Ward; Foster Vincent; Helen; and Ralph Sidney IRISH, all born between 1889 and 1901. Cullen's first marriage was to Pauline HARTLEY (b. 1895 in Athens, OH) on 1 Mar 1916 and together they had a son Cullen W. IRISH II b. 1917. Cullen W. IRISH Sr. d. 23 Jul 1967 in Los Angeles, CA and is buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California. Cullen Ward IRISH II died in 1999. His second wife Lois P. IRISH (1906-1991) is buried along with him in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, CA. Census records provide the following details: 1900 census of Barberton Village, OH: Geo W. 1. [CALOSANG] "Family History and DNA: Genetic Genealogy in 2013" - Update
    2. Paula Hinkel
    3. The "Family History and DNA: Genetic Genealogy in 2013" conference will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Hotel, 2500 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank, California. While it is being offered in conjunction with the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree, the conference is a separate event co-sponsored by SCGS and the International Society of Genetic Genealogy (ISOGG). The groundbreaking event is the first genetic genealogy conference not sponsored by a commercial DNA provider. This is a quick note to let everyone know that interest is very strong for "Family History and DNA: Genetic Genealogy in 2013," and we are already 25 percent sold out. This is well ahead of the registration response that we typically see for Jamboree. If you plan to attend, in the words of my Iowa grandmother, "Don't let the grass grow under your feet." We will very likely sell out. Featured speakers include Dr. Spencer Wells, Explorer in Residence at the National Geographic, and lunch speaker Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Please note that lunch requires an additional payment. This is truly becoming an international event, with attendees from the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, and points beyond, as well as locations around the US. We are excited to see that family historians everywhere are embracing the concept of an independent day-long conference about genetic genealogy. Plan to stay for Jamboree, which starts on Friday, June 7. Friday morning's sessions are JamboFREE, and Friday afternoon features a DNA panel as well as an African American DNA session. Of course, we encourage you to stay for the entire Jamboree weekend, Friday through Sunday, June 7 through 9, 2013. Read more about it on the Jamboree blog, http://genealogyjamboree.blogspot.com/2013/03/registration-update-family-his tory-and.html Southern California Genealogical Society 417 Irving Drive Burbank, CA 91504 scgs@scgsgenealogy.com www.genealogyjamboree.com

John (Jack) W Drummond (born 1927 Chicago) married Jeanne C Donovan in January 1949 in Chicago. They had about 4 children including Jimmy who drowned in Lake Michigan as a young man sometime before they moved to Los Angeles. There was also a daughter Donna. John had moved to Palm Beach, Florida by 1987, where he died in 2003. I have checked both familysearch.org and ancestry.com.au records as well as joining the Chicago list but as this information is too recent I am hoping a reader may be able to help me find information or some living relatives. Any assistance really appreciated. kind regards Elizabeth from Australia ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to CALOSANG-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the messageI

    3. You can find a LDS near you. They have library rooms at most locations and you can use their records for free. Most offen they have the film you are looking for in their local files.. Check them out.. I use them all over the county..
