Hello, If you want to see around that address now go to: http://www.InstantGoogleStreetView.com type in the address with city and state. When that comes up use your mouse and you can see a 360 degree angle. Up and down the street check addresses. I have found old family houses about the same look now as back then. I find it interesting. There are such wonderful people on this list. Yes, Belvedere was the name of the community. I was born in 1934. We lived on Bonnie Beach from 1938, to 1943. I remember the house well. Mom was a shutterbug with a Brownie Box camera, and I have lots of pictures from there. The house burned down sometime before the mid 60s, I went to see it, and it was gone. Joe, it was between Whittier Blvd, and the alley. I would like a photo of what's there now. I really appreciate this list!!! Thank you, Pat and Joe. On Fri, Apr 26, 2013 at 2:00 AM, <calosang-request@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Re: CALOSANG Digest, Vol 8, Issue 26 (David Hug) > 2. I work very close to the addresses you are speaking of. If you give spme specific house #'s, I'd be delighted to cruise by and snap some pictures. This area was called Belvedere for many years, but now is referred to as "Unincorporated East Los Angeles". It is an unincorporated "county" area, not part of any "city".
