    3. This has been received from the Rootsweb administration: Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state. Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb. As an alternative to RootsWeb Mailing Lists, Ancestry message boards are a great option to network with others in the genealogy community. Message boards are available for free with an Ancestry registered account. Thank you for being part of the RootsWeb family and contributing to this community. Sincerely, The RootsWeb team If anyone has an interest in finding alternative communication possibilities and/or suggestions for alternatives, please send a note to the list to that effect ASAP. With heavy hearts, Jim and Di

    3. I’ve found so many of the lists I used in the past have become inactive. Seems to have happened when Rootsweb went offline months ago. Wish all of the others would become active again. Will get my notebook out and sent out a few requests to the list. Calloway surname is associated to my Goulding-Manning family who lived in central Texas in the late 1800’s-1900’s. Thanks for the heads-up. 3. We just wanted to encourage you all to make use of this list in your family searches. A large number of Rootsweb lists have been made inactive due to no messages over a period of time. We want to keep as many lists active as we possibly can and your participation will help toward that goal. If you have a "brick wall" in your family search, send in a message with as much information as you have and let's see if someone may be able to help fill in those blanks. Best wishes, Jim and Di

    1. [CALLOWAY] ANNIE M GOULDING CALLOWAY, born ca 1886 Freestone Co TX & Arthur Alexander Calloway
    2. TOM F DUNKLIN via
    3. My great aunt, Annie M Goulding married Arthur Alexander Calloway ca 1908 in either Freestone or Limestone Co TX. She died the next year, supposedly from catching fire while washing clothes in an outdoor wash pot. At least that's the story that was told by my family years and years ago. I believe that they had a baby daughter named Lucille at the time of her death. I've been trying to find out where Annie is buried but the cemetery census in most cemeteries is not fully recorded and I've been unable to find her. I'm sure it would have been in either a Freestone Co or a Limestone Co cemetery. I'm hoping that a Calloway descendant might know where she is. I have her Goulding data if anyone is interested. Thanks,Paula

    3. Dear List Members, Please assist me with the following. I am from Holland and have an interest in WW 2 history. I do research about US servicemen that were killed in WW 2 and are/were buried in the US Military Cemetery in Holland (and Belgium), near where I live. All pictures will be used for an online database. I am searching in particular a picture from: John H(enry?) Calloway. He was from Watauga County, NC, born October 12th 1919. He was killed April 10th 1945 in Germany and wounded July 1944. Any help or information will be appreciated. There may have been an announcement in a local newspaper. Or maybe there was a picture from him in a yearbook from his highschool. Also I am interested in finding the obit from Georgie C. Calloway or A.C. Calloway (his sister) (see below).
