Hi, Can anyone help me clear this up? Page 398 "Job Calloway of North Carolina shows up on the Georgia Records Job Calloway, of the Chowan Co., N.C. family, a plain descendant of Joshua Calloway, the son of Caleb, next shows up on the records of Wilkes County, Georgia. Incidentally, three Howards were also on this list, and they were William, Thomas and Abel Howard" (There seems to be a problem with the will being probated 1804 and the draws in the 1804....is this a different Job)??? Patricia, Your first paragraph comes from "Tennessee Cousins," by Worth Ray. Throw it in the trash - and leave it there. He really mixed up the Callaways! You need to visit this web site: <www.callawayfamily.org> and check out the charts listed under Peter Callaway. You will find 5 or 6 generations there, including all the ones you are looking for. These charts have been documented. There are many persons named Isaac, Job, etc. You can get lost in a maze. We have already been there, done that, and finally (with documentation) straightened them out. My husband was born in PORTERDALE, GA , Newton County, on AUG.17, 1950 to EDWARD F. BRYAN, JR. and HILDEGARD SOFIE BRYAN. He was put up for adoption at birth. A month, later the Bryans divorced and his biological mother took back her Polish maiden name. My husband's older brother was adopted by the same family with him. He was 1 1/2 at the time and had gone by the name of BUTCH. There was also an older sister, SHARON LEE BRYAN, who was kept by the mother. My husband and his brother were adopted by Mr. and Mrs. E.F. CALLAWAY of COVINGTON, Ga. We know that his birth family lived in PORTERDALE for a while before the adoption and many of his adopted parents friends knew his mother who also was sometimes called HILDA. Some even took care of the two older children. Both adopted parents are deceased and their friends cannot remember details. My husband is ill now and we are in need of some medical information. If you, or anyone you know who may have lived in Newton County in 195! 0 as any information, we would greatly appreciate if if you would contact us at SeaShell@cfl.rr.com Blessing to you all. S.C. I

Hi, its been too quiet lately.......so I figured that I would stir some things up here. I am still doing my research on the MD/DE line for my book/ and historical documentary of the Callaways. I am still at a dead end on the Levin Callaway line. Still looking for his line to Peter. His bible records show that he was born in the year of 1802. There seems to be other Levin Callaways from De. also, but records still don't match. I need to know where all the other Levin Callaways are buried, because this one is buried in my family's plot. Seeking info. on other cemeteries/locations of all Levin Callaways if known from all descendents. I am going to continue my research on the road. Please email me with details. Thankyou, Suny Callaway.........
