My grandfather John B. Calhoun, (b. 4-23-1847 in Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN) was first m. to a Mattie Doss, (she was probably b. in about 1848 in NY) by this marriage they had two daughters, Edna Calhoun, b. about 1882 and Estra Calhoun b. about 1884. After their mother died about 1900, the daughters went to live with their father's sister Allie Calhoun, who had m. H. L. Estill in the Los Angeles, CA area. The Calhoun family lost track of John B. Calhoun, until the 1930's. The daughters m. brothers, Edna married John Tucker and Estra m. Robert Tucker. I believe they all lived in Los Angles, CA. Would like to learn more about the first family.
