We took the cars this morning and went to Abbeville, arriving there at four o'clock P. M. and camped at the edge of town. We left Abbeville about 2 o'clock on the 14th and marched ten miles in the direction of Washington and camped at the home where Joseph C. Calhoun was born. I went to the graveyard of his father's family. I saw a toomstone there the following transcriptions: Patrick Calhoun The Father of Catherine, William, James, John Calwell & Patrick Calhoun Born in the county of Donegal, Ireland June 11, 1727 " I just wanted to pass this info on.
