I'm a new member although I've been on other Rootsweb lists for nearly two years. I don't have much to go by on my Calhoun. She was Katherine Calhoun who was born in Scotland and married Daniel Carmichael (b. abt. 1750) in Scotland.They and their children came from the Isle of Lismore, Scotland (abt. 1792) to North, then South, Carolina. Katherine Calhoun Carmichael died in South Carolina between 1820-30. That's the extent of my knowledge. Any ideas on her Calhoun relations back in Scotland? Perhaps they, also, came to the Carolinas.
