I am searching for a John Calhoun who left S.C. and moved to Lauderdale Co., Ms. In the 1840 census he is listed with an Elenor and a Catherine. Catherine was about 75 and is believed to be his mother. His children are listed. Could this be your Daniel's brother or cousin.? If so, I'd appreciate any info on this family; could this John Calhoun have been married to an Arminta Brister first in S.C. before moving to Ms. and marrying "Elenor". I'd appreciate any info. JUne
