    1. [CALHOUN] Calhoun Slaves - SC
    2. Some of you have written in response to my query, thank you very much. Here is some more information. My gr gr grandmother Celia CALHOUN (b 1839 SC) left SC in covered wagon after emancipation with three children my master (name unknown, but guess is CALHOUN). Their children's names were Jeff (my gr grandfather) (b 1865 SC, Kate (or Catherine?), and Albert. She settled in MS and soon married Nicholas GREEN (b 1845 SC) in 1868 in Tallahatchie Co. They lived in Tallahtachie Co., MS then Coffeeville, Yalobusha Co., MS and seven more children Mittie,Mary, Kara,Charley, Clarence, Austin and Oscar. I do not have a clue which counties Nicholas and Celia were from. If everyone could just add any slave names they've run across in SC with their normal queries/trees/research that would be great. This can help many more people. Thanks in advance! Elcee
