DEED BOOK K, PAGES 21-22, CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY., COURT RECORDS: We the subscribers, heirs, and devicess of Thomas Futrell, deceased, do monimate, constitute, and appoint Levi Lancaster, a trustee and lawful trustee in full, in fact for us and in our names, to sell on credit of twelve months, the negroes namely: Bartley, Hardy, and Hannah, belonging to Thomas Futrell, Deceased, to receive payment for the same when sold, and the money to be divided amongst us and himself, that is to say one-eighth of said money to each person and we do further more agree that if any loss in collection of the same should be sustained through an unavoidable accident that we will each of us loose a partionally part of said loss and furthermore that we will satisfy and pay said Lancaster for all extra trouble that he may be at in doing the same. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands this twenty first of January, 1818.
