Crawford County lies on the Arkansas River, on the most western border of Arkansas. It was created in 1820 from Pulaski County. The county seat is Van Buren. Yell County records span 1859 to 1900. The county is located along the Arkansas River in the western part of the state. It was created in 1840 from neighboring Pope and Scott Counties. Danville and Dardanelle are the county seats. Hempstead County records span 1851 to 1899. The county is located along the Little River in southwestern Arkansas, near the border with Texas. Hope is the county seat. Pike County records span 1875 to 1900. The records for 1877 to 1881 were extracted from the County Court House. The county is located in southwestern Arkansas. Murfreesboro is the county seat. Washington County records span 1863 to 1900 and is located in northwestern Arkansas, on the border with Oklahoma. Fayetteville is the county seat.
