Tufts who purchased land in 1934 through the BLM in Lassen County. Later, she is living in Los Angeles and died there in 1944. Mary Vaughn Tufts was living in 1920 in Sonoma County along with a lady named Mary Juillsard or Julliard? Mary V.Tufts was born in 1864 in Worchester, Massachusetts and was the daughter of William Vaughn and Katherine O'Brien. She came to california ca 1914. A lady named Brownie Parsen or Parden was the informant on her death certificate in Los Angeles. Family says that she might have had a daughter Margaret who married John Hoffman and was operation an Orange Grove.
