Jan. 11-Camp Verde Arizona-Lieutenant Rice Commanding a detachment of the Fifth Cavalry, and Hulapi Scouts, had two engagements in the Red Rock country killing thirteen warriors. 2 paragraphs. Discovery of the Polar Continent-Intelligence on the Pavy Exploring Expedition. Over half column. Complete 4 page newspapers disbound from volume, folds, tears, poor condition but good content. Thanks for the alert. Will have to check various archives to make sure they are not missing. After all many of the issues of the pre-1900 newspaper files are broken and lots of gaps.
