The obituary index for 1938 is now online and the 1937 index should be up shortly. At the end of 1938 the Lassen Mail suspended operations and merged with the Lassen Advocate. While an obituary may not appear in the Lassen Mail, it probably did in the Lassen Advocate and vice versa, so one always need to examine both newspapers.
