Given the rare Blazier last name and the dates, I think we have a match. The whole family moved around for several reasons that are too lengthy to post. Briefly: Susan Caroline's mother, Lucinda died in San Joaquin County Ca in 1862 and her father, James M. remarried in 1863 to Sarah Elizabeth Miller-Brown. Sarah was a widow with at least two children of her own. Sarah and James had four other children, James Lee, Charles W. Robert and Laura Belle. Coincidently, James Lee's wife's given name was Rosella. Susan had three sisters and two brothers ranging from age 20 to 2. The sisters probably married in their teens as was the custom in those days. One of James and Sarah's granddaughters is still living in Northern California and is the source of much of my early family information and photos. I have much to send you from the Williams family (including a family tree) and from my own research. Please email me direct at ronald.k.womack@retechsystemsllc.com and send me your mailing address. I'm lookng forward to exploring this further.

Surnames: Blazier Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CW.2ADI/46.48.1.1 Message Board Post: RE: Abram and Susan Carrie Blazier Ron: It's plausable. Susan Carrie Blazier is listed in the 1900 census as born in Missouri in October, 1850, and the mortuary records at riverview cemetary in Portland list her birthdate as October 20, 1851. She bore Abram five children in California (John in 1868, Ida in 1870?, Edward in 1872?, Eugene in 1875, and Clarence in 1878?) before they moved to Milton, Oregon. There were two more children born in Milton... Rosa and Blanche. Ida and Rosa apparently died young, and Blanche was my grandmother. I'd be very interested in anything you have concerning the Williams family, and anything you might have turned up on Abram. I'm a bit puzzeled about how a saloonkeeper from down in the Redwoods got to Lakeview, and where Abram and Susan Carrie might have spent the early 1870's. Hope to continue this discussion. Even though it was deemed closed in 1918, numerous internments still occur, though now they get fewer as the years go. Only one person so far this, Frances Swain 1907-2001. Tim

    2. Tim I. Purdy
    3. The obituary index for 1938 is now online and the 1937 index should be up shortly. At the end of 1938 the Lassen Mail suspended operations and merged with the Lassen Advocate. While an obituary may not appear in the Lassen Mail, it probably did in the Lassen Advocate and vice versa, so one always need to examine both newspapers. Also one newspaper might have an informative obit and the other one just a brief note. www.cagenweb.com/tp/lassen Working on the Susanville Cemetery and should have it ready by next week, and then back to work on my place name history of Lassen County. 1. [CALASSEN] CARTER, PRICE & KNAPP family history
    2. Trying to connect with someone who can help us search out the "rest of this story": Tina Renee CARTER b. 23 Mar 1968 in Susanville, CA to Judy PRICE & Joe CARTER. Joe was the son of Modina/Modeana CARTER and lived in Susanville area. Family story has it that they may have been from TN and that he returned there before the child was b. 1968. Modeana/Modina CARTER may have also lived in Thousand Oaks, Alameda Co, CA In 1972 Tina Renee CARTER was adopted by her stepfather, Billy Verne KNAPP and her birth record amended, with original sealed. Billy Verne KNAPP was b 7 July 1941 in Siskiyou County. Judy Carol PRICE was b 9 May 1950 in Lassen County. They were married abt 1971-72 in Reno. The adoption took place in Susanville, Lassen County. Is it possible to get copy of the adoption records? Is it possible to get copy of original birth certificate? Does anyone know Modina/Modeana or Joe CARTER? Thanks very much for any help anyone can offer. Tina Renee CARTER would very much like the chance to know her birth father's side of the family. She did have some contact with Modina/Modean when she was a child. Sherre
