I'm looking for any information on the WAGON TRAIN DIARY of Margaret Jane Eachus. Margaret and her family crossed the plains in 1865 from Iowa to Nebraska and eventually to California. Part (all?) of her diary was typed up by Agnes E. Rider Fosberg and her son Eric sometime before 1978; it was published in the POMO Bulletin in May and Aug. 1978. Does anyone know the location of the original diary, or the typed copy? I have so far been unable to locate either Agnes (born Lakeport 1918, married in Berkeley), or her children Eric or Katherine. The Lakeport Library has only the POMO Bulletin copies. Margaret Pike married George Cople in 1870 in Merced; they later lived in Contra Costa Co., then in San Francisco. Thanks for your help.
