Alviso, 65, of 2315 Olympic Dr., died from an apparent heart attack Sunday afternoon while attending a barbecue party at the Charles West Ranch. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Greenlawn Mortuary Chapel. Mr Alivos (sic), born Feb. 28, 1900, in Madera, was reared in the Madera-Coalinga area, and had been employed for 46 years as a construction foreman for the Shell Oil Co. in the San Joaquin Valley. He had retired from his post in February. He had engaged in the cattle business as a sideline. Mr. Alviso enjoyed riding and was expert as a showman and trainer off quarter horses. His wife, the former Victoria Crump, died in 1958. The couple had been married 36 years. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Harman E. Cooper, his grandchildren, Kendra, Michael, and Paul Justin, all of Bakersfield; his sisters, Edith Marshall, of Clovis; Mary McMurty, of Fresno, Ethel Wallace, of San Gabriel, and Ella Penrod, and Florence Lockwood, both of Santa Cruz, and his brothers, Phillip of Long Beach; Thomas, of Los Angeles; Frank, of Turlock. The Rev. Ylenn K. Puder, of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The pallbearers will include Martin Errecca, Kenneth Pratt, Bates Dewey, Melvin Morris, Gene Wonderly and Otto McEwen. Honorary pallbearers are Fremont Schmieder, Dr. Ray Owens, Roy Esrey, Amos Cook Sr., N. G. Acebedo, Maurice St. Clair, and Clarence Leslie. ------------ Alviso, Kenneth Merle - Funeral services will be conducted in the Memorial Chapel, Greenlawn Mortuary, Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for Kenneth Merle Alviso, 65, 2315 Olympic Drive, who died May 23 at home. Dr. Glenn D. Puder, minister of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Garden of Roses section, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Alviso, a native of Madera, had resided in California his entire life and in Kern County 18 years. He had been employed by the Shell Oil Co. for 46 years and was a construction foreman. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Cooper of Bakersfield; five sisters, Mrs. Edith Marshall of Clovis, Mrs. Mary McMertry of Fresno, Mrs. Ethel Wallace of San Gabriel, Mrs. Ella Penrod and Mrs. Florence Lockwood, both of Santa Crup; three brothers, Phillip L of Long Beach, Frank of Turlock and Thomas of Los Angeles; three grandchildren, Hendra, Michael, and Paul Tustin Coper, all of Bakersfield. Pallbearers will be Martin Errecca, Kenneth Pratt, Bates Dewey, Melvin Morris, Gene Wonderly and Otto McEwen. Honorary pallbearers are Fremont Schmieder, Dr. Ray Owens, Roy Esrey, Amos Cook Sr., N.
