Madruga, 80, 4317 Wilson Road, who died Wednesday in his home. Msgr. Patrick A. Leddy will officiate. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Mr. Madruga was born in Pico, Azore Islands, and came to Kern Count in 1906 where he started farming. He farmed in this area for several years and moved to Tulare for five years. Upon his return to Kern County, he purchased the family homesite which he farmed until his retirement 18 years ago.He was a member of the IDES 112, UPEC 95, and the Benevolent Society. Survivors include his widow, Mary; a son, Melvin, Bakersfield; three daughters, Mrs Maraccini and Mrs. Isabelle Actis, of Bakersfield and Mrs. Adeline Rodrigues of Rodeo; one sister, Constancia Madruga of the Azores; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Frank Munis, John Costa, Joe Costa Jr! ., Joe Freitas Jr., Frank Souza and Joe Munis. Honorary Pallbearers ill be Joe Freitas Sr., A. R. Pinheiro, E.
