ETTA DAY Well Known East Bakersfield Woman Succumbs To An Illness Mrs. Etta Day died at her home 1010 Beale avenue, East Bakersfield, yesterday at 2 p.m., after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Day was born in California and had lived in East Bakersfield for many years and her many friends will be shocked to hear of her death. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Ralph and Frank, and one daughter, Mrs. Mell Smith, two sisters, Mrs. Tom Cross and Mrs. Dora Phelps, both of Los Angeles. The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 11th, at 2 p.m. at her home, 1010 Beale avenue. The Rev. Crabtree will officiate and the Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a member, will meet at the Masonic Temple at 1 o'clock sharp on Tuesday and proceed to the home in busses provided and will have their services at the grave.
